Lufthansa shipping from Buenos Aires?

Hi,

This is scooterboy travelling from teh Artic circle to Buenos Aires via Tierra del Fuego on my Yamaha 49 Vino. I'm currently going up vertical towards La Oroya and Huancayo for Cusco after leaving Lima yesterday and was proud to hit 15,000 miles on my machine a couple of days ago. It's a long way off, perhaps December but l've realised l'd probably better start thinking about my return home especially for the scooter. I've read on the shipments page about a great price with Lufthansa from B.A to Germany but this was back in 2001 and l was just wondering if this was still possible? Also l'm a bit miffed about my story in the e-zine. Grateful l am, but what it says about me being a man of few words is simply not true. My Journal is legendary, in my world anyway, so if anyone wants a piece of it, you just have to ask and l'll add you on the end. My website guy hasn't worked out a way of putting it on my photo site cos ultimately he's a yank but still a very nice guy. He can't help it. My e-mail is: prolificbrown2001@yahoo.com so just give me a buzz if ur interested.

Laters, Rup.

Have a look again at the shipping page from Bs.As. The Lufthansa air deal is off I am afraid, but there is an alternative.

Hi Rup,

Are you going to ship Britney back from SA to Europe? Costs for shipping are probably more than she is worth, so you must be doing it for other reasons.

As Brian said, check out Lan Cargo (the cargo division of Lan Chile, the national airline) in Santiago. You can get your wheels back to Madrid or Frankfurt for pretty cheap.

Take a look at my shipping report in the shipping database as I have left pretty detailed instructions of the costs, and who contact, what to ask for, etc.

Pricewise Lan Chile can't be beat right now. Especially since Britney is so lightweight.

Glad to see you are still enjoying your trip. I'm doing prep work and planning my next trip, as I sell my soul to the corporate devil for a while.

Cheers Simon, Terry and Colesy,

Looks like Lan Chile it is but yeah l guess l'll have to check their B.A. base if there is one. Yeah, Terry, Spears is coming back with me to Europe cos obviously that's my home base but more obviously cos l'm in love with her. Many thanks to all.

Laters, keep the road running, Rup.

Simon,

Cheers for the post on Hamburg sud. It will be a probable option if l can't fly it cos most favourably I want to arrive in Europe at the same time as Britney if at all possible for a Chris Rea type ride home for Christmas.

Cheers, Rup.

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
