How big a gastank do I need??

I am outfitting my MuZ Baghira for a Pan American tour sometime in the future and am struggling with what to do, if anything, about the small fuel capacity the bike has. The stock tank is 3 gallons, from what I've read, a proper adventure bike needs at least a five gallon tank. Is a five gallon tank really needed for a Prudoe Bay to Ushuaia tour? Are there many stretches where there is no fuel available for 110 miles? Where are they? Perhaps I can use a jerrycan if there is a long stretch to the next gas station. Three gallons will give me a range of 110 to 150 miles per tank. I would like to have more fuel capacity, but the aftermarket fuel cell options aren't that good for this bike. I have toured the States, Mexico, and Belize and see no reason why a range of 110 miles per tank would not work fine in these countries.

Just looking at "The Milepost" they say that from Deadhorse (Prudhoe Bay) South to Coldfoot Camp it is 244 miles. With no services in between them.

I went through the States, Mexico and all of Central America (now in Panama) and a range of 200km (130 miles) should be quite enough. Even in Baja California, though there, if you are off road, you need to do a little planning. There are places that sell gas from barrels, because there is no other option. Normally, if there is a little village or some human settlement, you will find gas. Though for some peace of mind, you could carry a small jerry can and fill it only when you think you may need it.
