Lake Titikaka
 

Hello,

There was a thread a while ago about the crossing fom Bolivia into Peru with a (little) fery at lake Titikaka. Anybody knows the deal with that? And feels like recapping for me. Also can you get to Isla del Sol with a bike and is it worth it? Will be there in little under a week.

The ferry is on the ruta 2 in bolivia, Estrecho de Tiquina, there is no ferry crossing beetwen peru/bolivia. it´s 20 bolivianos, more or less.
i heared there is a ferry going to the isla del sol, if you can take your bike with it, i don´t know. i assume it´s not worth it, because the island is so small.

You can call it a ferry but it's look more like a big bark. It's fun to take but hold your bike during the crossing as the floor is full of holes !!
For the isla del Sol only passgers ferry no motorcycles are allowed on the island.
While you're en route don't miss to stop at Copacabana !

In puno now, making my way for cusco tomorow.
Copacabana was really nice. And did the Isla del sol day. Very touristy but well worth it.
