kahuish (peru) - world's highest road tunnel?
 

hello out there,

on our recent south america ride we drove through the claustrophobic "kahuish" tunnel in peru's cordilliera blanca, which is 4516m high (the tunnel, not the mountains) and enjoyed the diesel-polluted air inside, which has very little oxygen anyway...

not that it is of any importance, but it interests me: is this the highest road tunnel woldwide? Who knows more – maybe it's mentioned in some kind of " book of records".
