Note: they are also a Mini Cooper dealer. You may see that sign first.

Suggest reaching out to them to schedule service. Adventure riders usually get priority in the queue at BMW dealerships, but it helps if they know you are coming. Service department works half a day on Saturday.

Contacts for Lima BMW (as of March 2013)

Eduardo Hearne ehearne@agildemeister.com.pe (service manager)

Eduardo is the guy you will work with to get your bike serviced. Reasonable, friendly, no pressure, helped me decide not to get some service that BMW recommends by the book....

Dina De la Piedra ddelapiedra@agildemeister.com.pe (sales/marketing...something like that) Providing her email, because Eduardo didn't respond right away to my email. Perhaps he was overloaded. Dina must have nudged him, then we were off and running.

There are BMW dealers in La Paz and Santa Cruz. I stopped at the dealer in La Paz, but three adventure riders had arrived the day before, so there would be a delay. I decided to postpone a scheduled check of my valves until I got to Lima. The service manager asked if I noticed a difference in the engine sound (no) or a decrease in power (no.) He then recommend that I could wait until I got to Lima. Similarly. in Lima a scheduled fork oil maintenance was skipped, because the folks were performing without issue. That's how they roll in South America.

coordinates

If the coordinates are working for you, here are links to Google Maps
Lima BMW https://goo.gl/maps/LdZOZ
La Paz BMW http://goo.gl/maps/upmnb

BMW does a crappy job of providing the location of their Motorrad dealers. Their international website makes it seem like there is only a dealer in Santa Cruz, Bolivia...and in other sections they make it seem like there aren't any dealers in Bolivia at all.

Love their motorcycles, dread their website when trying to find a motorcycle service center...

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
