Good bike friendly hostel in Santiago, Chile???

Hey there.......anybody know of a good motorbike friendly hostel in Santiago de Chile. I'll be riding through there on the way back up to Colombia at the end of September, hoping to hang out with other bikers and share stories / advice etc etc etc.

Cheers,

Matt.

La Casa Roja - Santiago

This place is great, a little more expensive than your average grungy backpacker dumps, but you get a lot more for your money. Run by Australian Simon and wife Tatiana, this professional establishment has a secure car park next door and if you speak like an 'Aussie' they may even let you park in the back yard !

Rooms are spacious and a little quieter upstairs, staff are very friendly and knowledgable and breakfast is good too. Easy walking distance down town or Metro 3 blocks away and plenty of places to eat nearby including the neat restaurant 'Platipus' next door where we had the best food so far on our trip through Chile.

(Refreshing to see smoke detectors, fire alarms and emergency lighting too).

We will be coming back to Santiago in 5 months time and will be definitely staying at La Casa Roja.

La CASA ROJA, (red house) in downtown Santiago. Nice hostel/hotel .

Be aware that villakunterbunt is in Valparaiso, not Santiago.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
