Euromot 200GXT

Does anyone know anything about these, in particular the 200GXT? Cant find anything on the internet and I am keen to find out if they are any good.

I am looking to buy something in Chile and put on about 10k miles, mostly on tarmac. Just interested to find out if these will be up to the job. Im pretty handy with a spanner but dont want to spend all my time with the crank case in two bits. I take it that parts are readily available in Chile, is this also the case in Argentina?

If anyone has owned one of these and had problems i would be really interested, likewise if you think they are a waste of space and I would be better buying Jap please advise.

QinQQi

as far as I know it is a Qinnqqi (or suzuki copy) and supposedly the best quality Chinese copy out there.
Price is pretty cheap too.
Somewhere there was a post about magneto issues which were solved by replacing with genuine suzuki magneto.

It was the price that initially drew me to them. Quite supprised they are running magnetos on what i assume is a 4stroke? thought they would be on a coil? Dont suppose you know if the engine is actually Suzuki?

Sorry for all the questions... but is the Euromot 200GXT identical to the Qingqi QM200GY (the one with the funky ktm style fender ummmm!)? have read some good things about the Qingqi on ADV Rider. Good article if you are interested - 2Days - 2Up on a Chinese QingQi QM200-GY in Sichuan China

supposed to be exact copy

so all spares should fit over
maybe someone has a comment on this ?
What kind of price do they have now ?

Shineray QY200GYE (similar bike) is terrible

Hi,

We too are looking at Euromot GXT200s for late Feb.

I rode a Shineray QY200GYE and it was terrible. It'd reluctantly struggle to reach 70kph and would be dangerous on the motorways. Does anyone have any comments about the Euromot GXT200? Is it more robust and what is its top speed?

Otherwise, we are looking at road cycles/cruisers.

Shineray QY200GYE

I was under the impression that all these bikes including the euromot, qingqi (China), sundown(Brazil), bashan(UK) were all basically the same, correct me if i'm wrong here... I am also guessing that the shineray is the same deal.

Interestingly enough the qingqi (or however its spelt) is now available in 250cc and now has hydraulic disc on the back and I have seen some with USD forks. Bashan also do a 250 which i am guessing is the same and is available for £1400 on the road in the UK which just seems crazy cheap to me!

petja - would be really interested to find out how you get on buying a bike out there, by the way I have seen them new (the euromot 200GXT) for around a million chilles which i estimate to be in the £1200 region. I am guessing you could also get a test ride from a garage which would definatively answer your questions on whether its up to much. Again, I would be extremely interested to find out how you get on.

I'm thinking about buying the Genesis model here in Costa Rica
about 2400USD USD at current exchange
Bought it...like it...handles and runs good (ok only 250km so far)
It IS a Qingqi/Euromot/Genesis and dr200 parts are interchangeable.

amazing 3 month 3000km warranty :-)

like most new bikes you could cut out restrictor at the end of tailpipe (using a series of holes drilled around it grind smooth the results) and put on a nice 2" outlet, and drill out holes in airbox to allow more air in, take carb slide out and move needle UP one or two notches. Should give easily 10% more power and run cooler - UPDATE new bike needs no restrictor cut-out, and has cv carb from Japan...so no mucho modificaciones necesario.

2000km

Still works good. Nothing on the horizon that spells trouble with this bike. I drilled out 6 more 1/4 " holes in muffler end which upped the mid and high end, when warranty is over I'm going to exchange main jet for a bit bigger.
Thinking of taking it from Costa Rica on down to Peru or beyond (yes...again)
I think so far it outperforms all the chinese knock offs...and here there are a few with 30km on them and still running ok..

well I sold it

on my way to Chile, think I'll buy the same bike (Euromot) down there,
2200 km and plenty of power, easy handling, nothing broke or fell off...

Buying in Chile

Just bought another Qingqi labeled here as Euromot, sold by Yamaha dealers with 1 year 10K warranty same as Yamaha.
$2000 out the door with 1 year insurance paid. Dealer did all the paperwork for me after I went and registered a new tax id number, called "RUT" here..........took 15 minutes to do.........
all too dang easy........except "padron" is taking over a week now....
They also sell Qingi and Motorrad and Pioneer here, they are all the same motorcycle EXCEPT if you buy the Euromot, you have service and warranty from any Yamaha dealers......the others really don't do anything for you
.........off to enjoy the sights in a couple of days.
Bike is atMaxmotos getting pannier frames and windshield installed

dealer in Santiago can sort you out for any size Yamaha (the 600's look nice with Touratech installed) or of course the cheaper Euromot200
