Exclamation Tyres in Bariloche?

Hello

I'm in need of a rear tyre for my final push south to Ushuaia.
Motorcycle tyres seem to be in short supply in Bariloche - anyone know of anywhere close? San Martin maybe?

Size: 130/80 - 17
Been using a mixture of Bridgestone Trailwings and Pirrelli MT60s for the majority of my time. Depending on what I can get.

I've had this tyre since Cusco and its begining to hurt.
Any help is much appreciated.
Tom

I bought tires in Bariloche 3 years ago, had to wait 2 days for them, because they ordered them from Mendoza!
If you can not get the 130 just use a 120, those are much easyer to get and fit as well!

Good luck Appie!

If you don't mind riding over to Osorno, Chile you can contact motoaventura.com and ask them. They have a policy of sending each new customer off with new tires, so if you want used, you can have them cheap or free and if you want new ones, I think they will sell them to you at little or no profit (because they are really nice folks-and they are usually swimming in tires).

Thumbs up

There is a moto tyre workshop in bariloche. He changed a tyre for me but I had it with me.He did have a pile of half worn tyres if you're that desperate and he will do his best to help you out i'm sure. Now the tricky bit, remembering where it was.I'm sure it was down one of the side streets as you come into town.I think there is a car tyre place on the road in,they could point you in the right direction.
Good luck !

Moto neumatico

You can ask at : centro civico de Bariloche. The police there use dual purpose bike, so they surely change the tires. They;re was a lot of motorcycle here yesterday. But best bet are to ask to the centro civico :

Un sitio donde se ouede comprar neumatico de moto or a Gomeria por cambiar mi neumatico de moto sabe la direccion o I don;t know if you speak spanish but people are helpful.

There,s a place where motorcyclist go is Sant`s Beer in la calle (street)Mitre.

There's a Honda shop within walking distance from downtown. They helped me out with a repair and had some tires in stock. I can't remember the name, but just ask around. Goodluck!

There is a bike shop as you come into town on the left, next to one of the Hostels. Had a bunch of tires in stock yesterday, when I was there.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
