Diesel quality in Brazil
 

Hi,

We just cleaned our the pre-filter and fuel filters on the truck this morning, and previously did them in the North of Brazil less than 2 months ago. I was quite surprised at how dirty they were.

Anyone else have any diesel issues in Brazil?

Fuel quality in Brasil is very much determined by where you are and what fuel station you use. The quality in the South is much better than the northeast. And of course independent fuel retailers are usually the lowest quality. I try to use one of the big three retailers if possible.

All the fuel was bought in the North East, but always at a large and busy fuel station. Just unlucky with one of them I guess....
