Dakar Motos

Javier and Sandra at Dakar Motos are already famous. Any biker heading through Buenos Aires knows that they provide a haven for bikers, the best of help and best advice - also great assados on Saturdays.
I shipped my bike up by truck from Tierra del Fuego (US$60). I rode it out of Dakar Motos this afternoon. The rear end of the bike was crushed in the crash (see BLOG at home). Javier has straightened the chassis and done a rebuild. I promised Javier not to reveal what he charged. He has proper bikes in all the time, BMWs, etc., bikes where a few spares cost more than my baby Honda cost new last year in Mexico. The charge was around half what I expected - though the cash is less important than the care. Sandra and Javier are in my Pantheon of Argentine saints, those who aided me when I was down. Here, in this bikers' meeting space, an old man professes his thanks.

I had a similar experience in BsAs with Javier and Sandra.

They stored my bike, help straighten it, fit new parts and all very cheap not to mention the hours Javier spent playing with my Gps to get the maps sorted free of charge.

Every city needs a Dakar Motos.

Gracias Javier and Sandra

Wink Dakar moto

Hi
I spent nearly seven weeks in the company of Javier & Sandra and their friends at Dakar motos in BA. If your in trouble or just need a place to stay, work on your bike, shipping in or out of South America you could not be in better hands. Stop by say hi the coffee's always on. Skip

PS If your lucky you get to look after the cat......
