I should be in Cusco tomorrow (6 Mar.) and doing the usual tourist things for a few days. Anyone about and interested in taking the high road north or just drinkining beer in low dives. Ride safe, Mike.

Hi Mike
I am in Arequipa. Will be here a few days seeing a friend and fixing a few things then i am going to Cusco and possibly north, The high road sounds good but it sounds like i am a good few days behind you. Also, isn't it pretty wet up high at the moment ?

Hi Dave, just as I was about to type that the roads are really dry a mega thunderstorm just ripped the place apart, you can`t trust anything these days, now when I were a lad etc.,etc.,. I am going to have a few days bimbling around the sacred vally as there are supposed to be some really nice paved scenic rides before heading north so let me know when you are heading this way and we might manage a beer or three. Ride safe, Mike

Are you shipping out of Quito to Europe or are you going on to central america ? If you have anything organised i would be interested to know .

Cheers Dave

Hi Dave, at the moment I`m looking at flying from Quito to Mex city as I just don`t want another dose of CA hassle in my opinion the area just isn`t worth it. I aim to be back in the UK in time for the HU meet so if all else fails see you in the bar there. Ride Safe, Mike

hi..just came south..it was cold and wet at alt..but when the sun came out!! wow..i know thats not much help but the trend is cold and rain..i came down to the coast for some sun and to make up some time..im in nazca now..shipping north out of queto..i did a quick look and and didnt find much..if you have to ride up from pan. the east side of ca may be easyer but still not much fun..im convinced that customs officers are all going to hell, making it safe for all of us because we cant get in..chc

A slight change of plan, I`m in Abancey at the moment and the word on the streets is that the direct route to Ayacucho is in a bit of a mess so I`m heading for Nasca to also warm up then its Pisco and back inland again to Huancayo via Santa Ines or at least thats the cunning plan. Anyone know a good cheap bar in Nasca? Ride safe, Mike

Hi, I´ve jusr checked into the "Estrella de Sur" Nasca and its hot hot hot. The ride from Cusco is a real show sropper so I don´t feel too bad about descending. If I wake up mañana then I´m off into the wild blue yonder justlike a proper tourist then on Sun Pisco and the high ground. Ride safe, Mike
