La Posta - Pollo is coming to Europe!

Dear Travellers!

Most of you have heard or experienced about the famous hospitality of Jorge Cuatrochio, called Pollo, owner of THE one place for motorcycle travellers in south america, "La Posta del viajero en Moto" in Azul, Argentina. His newly installed website http://www.laposta-azul.com/ has been developed and is provided by travellers, dedicated to give something back for his continuous efforts for the motorcycle travelling community.

Now the time has come, that we, the former guests from all over europe, switch the roles with Pollo - for once, we got the chance to offer him an unforgettable time in Europe!!

It's not just a plan: thanks to Mika Kuhn, multiple, regular and continuing visitor of La Posta, it's now definite, and here are the facts:

Travelling Dates:
- Arrival 11th of August 2006 in Zurich, Switzerland
- Departure 8th of September 2006 in Zurich, Switzerland

While being mostly in middle-europe during his visit, a highlight for him will be the participation at the "Motorrad Reise Treffen" in Gieboldehausen, Germany. This is YOUR chance to meet him, so I hope there will be big Pollo-Fan-Crowd at the Traveller Meeting -> http://www.motorrad-reise-treffen.de/

MRT: 01 - 03.09.2006

Until now, not the complete journey has been financed, but the following people have generously spent some money for Pollo's Trip to Europe:

Niklas Geiger, Freiburg, Germany
Marco Schnueriger, Zurich, Switzerland, www.schnueriger.net
Luise and Tobias Falkenroth, Iserlohn, Germany
Claudio and Franziska Foiera, Matten, Switzerland
Norbert Freyer, Habighorst, Germany
Erwin Thoma, Augsburg, Germany
Gerd Steinrücke, Düsseldorf, Germany
Steffi and Rolf Rausenberger, Achstetten, Germany
Steffen Utzmann, Zurich, Switzerland (exile-swabian)
Reina and Falk Thümer, Falkenstein, www.motorrad-weltreise.de
Britta and Alexander Dülks, Krefeld, www.duelks.de
Bettina and Jürgen Antonucci, Königsmoos, Germany
George Waibel, Allgäu, Germany
Martin Graf, Winterthur, Switzerland, www.Motorbike-Tours.ch

Travel insurance for Pollo is sponsored by:

Ralph Wüstefeld, Giboldehausen, www.motorrad-reise-treffen.de

A BMW F650 (with cases and everything you need, you know better... :-) has been offered by:

Kalle Asmuth aus Senefeld near Hamburg, Germany

Idea and organization: Damaris Gutzwiller and Mika Kuhn, Bern, Switzerland

--> Please spread this information to people from Europe that have been to La Posta in Azul!

If you want to meet Pollo or donate something, don't hesitate to write to this thread or contact me or Mika Kuhn directly. Mika is the main contact regarding organization.

We know that everybody that has been to "La Posta", can never forget this place and its owner, our friend Pollo!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
