Lightbulb Costa Rican Information & Advice Sought...

Hi all...
I am meeting some friends who are on a RTW trip. Tommy & Rosa from Germany. They stayed with me in San Francisco for a week and I really enjoyed them so SO much. So much that I have decided to fly down to Costa Rica and meet them.

While there I am wondering if anyone can recommend a place to rent a motorcycle. I am traveling with a friend and will be needing to rent 1 - 2 more bikes. Please someone give me a reference..

I am also wondering if anyone here might have a home someplace in costa rica that they would like to rent for a week. Or knows of someplace that we should stay without question... I would like to treat Tommy & Rosa to a vacation within their RTW by getting a house for week while in Costa Rica..

Ideas!!! Ideas Please..

And if your in or near SF or every passing through. I LOVE having guests...

I'd enthusiastically recommend mototourscostarica.com, based in Atenas, west of San Jose. They rent well-prepped KTM640s and 450s, and their manager Paul is a chirpy expert on Costa Rican roads and trails.

Suerte, Dan Walsh

Hi,
As Dan says, I live here in Costa Rica and run a motorcycle touring business. So as not to sound like an ad, let me just say we've helped a number of travelers over the years, no matter what they ride. Sometimes it's steering head bearings or a flat tire. Sometimes it's find a place to stay for awhile. Contact me at mototourscr@racsa.co.cr

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
