Camping in Central and South America
 

Just curious if anyone has camped off the side of the road or on beaches along the way TDF? I will be leavin November 1st and I hope to camp a lot. I am wondering if it is safe enough to do in most places and what are the experiences of other and camping along the way. I would like to avoid campgrounds but am not opposed to them at all and plan on staying in some. Any advice would be great.
