Bogota to Quito

Hi,

I`m going to be in Bogota in a couple of days and need to be in Quito by the end of December. I lan to stick to the main roads and ride via Cali. Anyone any ideas how long it might take and the condition of the roads?

Thanks!

I didn't do the Bogota to Cali stretch (I did Medellin in the middle). From Cali to Quitto on the main road it's smooth sailing. Beautiful twisty roads with good pavement.

We've just done Manizales to Cali and the road is good - some awesome riding in the mountains here.

I would allow 2 days Bogata to Cali and 2 days Cali to Quito for myself.

Mileage from bogota to quito?

Can anyone tell me the how far it is between Bogota and Quito on the main roads? I`m wondering if I can delay my oil change until Quito.

Thanks!
