Bike Storage - Central America - anywhere?
I saw the post on a place to store a bike in Costa Rica. Any place else in Central America? Belize would be a good choice. Any problems with leaving a bike for a year or more? Any paperwork hassles? Trouble getting into or out of the country?
I am heading down that way in November, had planned on getting a ton of time off but can only get four weeks. I tend to really move, but I do like to stop and actually see the roses once in a while. 4 weeks is not enough to do anything but head down and back to Panama City. I am leaving from New Hampshire. If I could store the bike and go again either next fall or the spring a year and a half later, it would be great. Maybe make it an anual trek until I really see all of CA and the Yucatan.
