bike parts in Mexico and central america?
 

I have never owned a motorcycle but am charging ahead with buying one with a girlfriend to take through mexico and central america. We wondered what brands of bikes have widely available parts in Mexico and Cen. America. And what size engine would we absolutely need to take two average sized folk in no hurry but with a bunch o camping gear? Can we get by with a 650? Thanks for helping out two bike virgins!
