Belize's Coast - place to leave the motorcycles for a few days?

We want to spend some days on one of BelizeĀ“s reef islands.
Any recommendations?
Does anybody know a place in Belize City or elsewhere on the coast, where we can leave our two motorcycles for a few days?

HI Panny. In 2009-2010, we rode into Belize City on a weekend. Most business activities were closed down. We went to the small ferry terminal to get a boat to Caye Caulker. All of the islands are serviced from that area. We talked to a person who seem to run things inside the terminal for Caye Caulker-he had a club. It is a very loose and unconfortable set up to say the least. However, we just went with the flow, and they took good care of the bike-money talks. We drove it into the terminal and out on to their private dock, which is surrounded by water and their building. They took care of our bikes for a reasonable fee, and I can't remember the cost. Once you get to the small terminal, you will be approached by all kinds of people offering all kinds of unofficial and suspicious opportunities. There were two ladies out front cooking stew with all kinds of different meat-it was good on rice. Caye Caulker is about a 45 minute boat ride. It is known as the backpacker island. There is a more touristy island. Get your hotel reservations in advance. That is what we did and didn't have a problem. It is very laid back island. You swim, you eat, you drink. If you stay another day, you do the same thing, again and again. Please do not infer that just because we went to Caye Caulker or Belize, for that matter, that it was worth it. Maybe you have a better plan, and maybe someone else has a better island to recommend.

Hotel on Regent Street

I ran into the same problem last December. I came into Belize City on Boxing Day, and nothing was open, but the hotel I found on Regent Street told me that I could keep my bike in their back courtyard. I don't remember the name of the Hotel, but it was about 4 or 5 blocks south of the bridge (on the west side) by the docks where you catch the boat for the Cayes. I believe it was on Regent Street. They charged me a reasonable daily fee, and when I ended up staying a week longer than expected on Caye Caulker, they were cool with it. Plenty of space in their courtyard, and it's behind a fence, so you can't see in from the street.

Most any of the hotels which have a good parking setup would probably be willing to allow you to leave the bike at their place fro a few days , for a reasonable fee, especially if you stayed with them for a night before you set off and when you get back to the city.
Try Seabreeze Guest House, 18 Gabourel Street, just south of the US embassy. I know that they did this for another bike traveller I met there.
All they or anybody can do is provide a parking space off the street. They can NOT assume any liability for the bike should it get vandalized ,no matter what.
