Battery for Africa Twin in Santiago, Chile

Hello

I am going to ship my bike from Norway to Valparaiso, but I am not allowed to ship the battery with the bike. Is motorcyclebattery easy to get hand on in Santiago/Valparaiso? Has anyone an adress for a shop who sell batterys?

While I don't have positive proof, about 8 years ago I got a battery for my Cagiva/Ducati Elefant in a little coastal town, nearby. Chile is very progressive, and I would say you'll find something.Look up Roland Sparrwater,Inc., a KTM dealer, transplanted from Germany. I used his shop in Chillan, and his main one is in Santiago. They may help, if they don't have the exact one. Do a search on KTM's web site for dealers, for his address.

Hey guys,
I shipped my bike from Switzerland to Valparaiso and did not have any problems with the battery. The only problem I had was, that the costums seemed to have troubles that two bikes were sent in one box.

But really no problems with the battery. Anyway, there should be a shop to buy such a batterie, since I have seen chillenean Africa Twins in Valparaiso.

Anyway, have a nice trip

HI, check under www.hondamotor.cl and contact the guys in Santiago. under concesionarios. They have chains and sprockets if u order some days in advance, so just mail them. I just asked for some other parts...the HU community is also a good idea
have fun

I found Chile to be very bad for Africa Twin parts. The main dealer in Santiago did not even stock a chain however a battery should be an easier commodity to track down.

There is one street in Santiago (Avenida Lira I think) that has many bike shops. I am sure you'll get one there.

Good luck!

Matt

In Lira Street is easy to find a battery.
Really Honda Chile is the worst: I have an Africa Twin and usually found parts easyly in eBay than here. Sometimes I waited 3 months for a new part. If you need help send me a PM.

Other alternative is ProCirciut, in Vitacura street, www.procirciut.cl, probably nobody speak English there.
