Anyone know of an affordable place to rent in Medellin for a month?
 

Hi folks:

I'll be arriving in Medellin in a few weeks and I'm looking to rent a room/apartment for a month. I'm pretty frugal so the main things I'm looking for are: motorcycle parking, affordable, wifi, and that's about it. I can share a room in an apartment, that's fine with me.

If you have suggestions of somewhere that might have rooms available on a monthly basis I'd really appreciate it. Or even how to go about looking for a place for a month (I normally stay in a place for 2-3 nights). I've already reached out to Mike and Turtlehead to find out about availability. Mike's place is a bit outside my budget at 1,000,000/month...

In medellin I stayed at Shamrock, it's an Irish pub, upstairs they have a few rooms.

My friend who was recovering from a crash stayed there for a month.

it's in a very nice neighborhood, you can leave your bike inside and there's wi-fi. it might be a little steeper price then what you're looking for though, not sure what's cheap for you. The owner, Albert, is a KTM rider. Also all the bike shops are close to that place. Oh and also, the concentration of beautiful girl is, in this sector, the highest, by far, I have ever seen anywhere in the world. No kidding, it is surreal.

For better price you need to check outside of the gringo spots. A local connection and some spanish will go a long way.
