200cc motorbike for sale, just 200 USD! in Medellin, Colombia

My beloved Chinese 200cc motorcycle is for sale now

Brand: Sukida / Motor1
Model: Nomada 200
Year: 2013
Mileage: 19000 km
Add-ons: Givi central box, two locks

Where: Medellin, Colombia
When?: 23 Dec afternoon or 24 Dec early morning
Price: 200 USD cash or PayPal

More about the motorcycle:

I bought the bike brand new in January 2013 in Ecuador for 1700 USD. It got me through: Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Brasil, French Guyana, Suriname, Guyana, Venezuela and Colombia. You can view some photos here:

It's a chinese bike, so I would lie if I said it's perfect. It's just OK - and it is cheap! If you buy good fuel (95 or 98) it will get you up the hill without losing power. I usually drive at speed of 90 to 100 km/h. It will not go faster than 115 km/h. Enough to take over a truck. Range on one tank of fuel is around 370 km. I never got further than 320 km without refueling, but this is more than enough in South America.

It has good suspension and a comfortable seat. Now I drive 300 km per day fithout getting too tired.

The bike never had any crash, I was lucky enough not to fall down even one time.

Got pretty new tires and chain (you can make ~10.000 km more). It also has new electric wires, because original ones have burnt (from driving in rain, i guess). The electricity was the only major problem that occured.

Oil was changed regularly, first every 1000km and now every 2000km. You need to adjust the chain every ~2000 km.

The bike is now in Colombia, I'm gonna drive it to Medellin, from where I have my return flight to Europe. I got Colombian insurance valid until 19.01.2014. The bike itself is allowed to stay in Colombia until 18.03.2014 - then it should leave the country. (I also have Ecuadorian insurance valid until 24.01.2014 and Venezuelan insurance valid till December 2014). I also have all the original papers for the bike.

Things that don't work:
-- fuel meter
-- rpm meter

The price, place and date of delivery are not subject to negotiations - sorry about that If you have any other quiestions just e-mail me at plowiec [at] gmail.com or ask here - PM or forum.

One more thing: I want to keep the original plate as a souvenir. But I got a nice looking replacement - a laminated photocopy of the original plate.

Feliz viaje!

Maybe you should contact Mike at Motolombia, Contact | MOTOLOMBIA - Colombian Motorcycle Adventure , I believe he is in Medallin now.

He will at least be able to let you know the legalities of selling the bike in Colombia.

But I would have thought it easier to sell it in Ecuador and then grab a bus back to Medallin.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
