Attack at Temet

I've hear that an attack have occured in last December against a group of tourists (with a guide) at Temet's dunes : The car have been robbed ...
Have you some news about that ?

I found this message on the Routard web site (the Routard publishes a series of travel books - they are as well-known to the French-speaking travelers as the Lonely Planet guides are to English-speaking people):

It reads: "On December 30th, we have been attacked (my wife, my 12-year old daughter and the guide) at the Temet dunes by bandits with a Kalashnikov (we found 12 bullet casings) who robbed us from our personal car, all our gear and left us with a bit of food and water. We stayed for 2 days waiting for a car to come by. So watch out."

We traveled down from In-Guezzam Arlit to Agadez on 1 - 3 januari 2007 (no problem).
In Niamey a Frenchman in a Nissan Petrol told us that tourists were being robed of two cars on the route Arlit-Agadez. This robbery took place around 23 December and the info came from the French embassy Ouagadougou.
