Where to ride in Tunisia ?
 

Hi all,
we'll be leaving soon for Tunisia, and I heard the south is forbidden without a guide. What are the best places still open for independent travel ? is this ban strictly forbidden or have people been able to sneak through - without ending up in jail of course.

We'd like also to avoid the big touristy 4x4 circuits, of course, but we'd like some good pistes and a mix of sand and gravel. Is is worth going around Chott el Jerid ?

We have 10 days, 5 bikes (Ténéré + DR 600).
