When to travel?

I am planning a 2 month expedition covering north Africa next year. What is the best time of year to start this avoiding the hotter months of the summer, does north african summer coincide with Britist summer?

Hi,
Unless the continental plates have moved again recently, Europe and Africa should be still at the same latitudes, so will be the seasons.
Most people prefer to travel in N Africa outside the period between early June and late August to avoid slow moving caravans of Touareg holiday makers clogging up the pistes. ;-)
