Wadi Halfa to Khartoum
I will be travelling by road from Wadi Halfa to Khartoum in late March. The two main possible routes south from Dongola are either direct south to Khartoum, or across to Karima and Atbara.
Does anybody who has been down these routes have any recommendation? I'm taking buses/ lorries, not driving my own vehicle, so am not worried about ease of navigation / driving conditions - just which one has best desert landscape / is most interesting. Simon |

Dear Simon
<<I'm taking buses/ lorries, not driving my own vehicle,>> How good to hear from a REAL traveller, while I sit cocooned in £15,000 worth of mechanical hardware, plotting GPS fixes and worrying about my tyre pressures...! Bon voyage! Kitmax ------------------ Kitmax - Traveller Desert Pictures at http://www.kitmax.com/kitmax/kit03ph...velgallery.htm homepage http://www.kitmax.com
