Tyre changing in Cairo
Hi there
I will be travelling with my Africa Twin from Zurich to Capetown and wonder if it is smart to start with street tyres and to change to intermediate enduro tyres (e.g. Conti TKC 80) in Cairo. I further wonder whether I shall carry the enduro tyres with me the whole way from Zurich or whether it would work out to order tyres in Cairo. Does anybody know an address in Cairo where I get Conti TKC 80's for my Africa Twin? I would very much appreciate any tips. Cheers Marc

I got a pair of tyres in Cairo via the HU community there, not sure about choice but they will also know where to buy new.
I have also started with a part worn rear and carried new until it was needed, I found this worked well.

The Cairo HU community helped me find tires there, which was very nice of them but be warned, we had a hell of a hard time finding them for my R-100GS. If the HU community wants to help, maybe someone can agree to let you ship tires to them before you leave.
