Tunisia and Second World War Relics

Folks:

I'll be travelling through Tunisia and region (was planning Libya as well!) in the next few weeks.

I was wondering if any of you in your travels have come across relics (ie; aircraft wrecks, tanks, equipment) from the Second World War while travelling in the off-beaten tracks (if indeed there really are any in Tunisia).

I'd expect that 99.9% or more of materiel remaining from the conflict is long gone, especially since I've never seen any mention of this sort of thing in print.

This sort of thing certainly isn't the point of my trip, but if there is anything where I happen to be, it might add a little interest.

Thanks for your time.

A.W.

I presume this is a Sahara enquiry (you're on the wrong part of the forum Mr AW)
In Tunisia, nothing to my knowledge, in Libya, all in the east and what there is is a long way from any piste - most is in the Torbruk museum.
