not too fast!

Tunisia-Egypt in very long 2 days, or long 3 days...

...but...

the best is in the south, indeed arguably some of the best scenery the entire African continent has to offer is in southern Libya. If there is space in your budget then head down and back up again on your way to Egypt. You only need a week (so 10 days in total in Libya).

Camping along north coast is not so easy, but in the south you camp in the dunes so it's free. You don't say if your budget is per person, but if so then it sounds reasonable. Fuel is crazy cheap, so enjoy!

Fessano are not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. If you want to pay less, and get stress/uncertainty/hidden extras etc. then go with someone else. I cannot recommend them more highly.
