Travel Documents Reqd??
 

Please help I am a first time traveller to North Africa going by bike with two friends, two of us on XT600's and one Africa Twin.
We need help with the documentation we will need for general travel and in particular border crossings as I believe some borders can be difficult such as Tunisia and Libya especially when you are taking a vehicle?
The docs we are expecting to take are as follows, Passport, Reg Docs, Insurance Docs, Carnet.
Any info on any of the above or others we will need such as medical docs would be great!

You should take your yellow fever cert - though it will probably never be asked for...

International drivers licence. Available from RAC for about a tenner.

I applied for an International Drivers Licence to AA yesterday, and the bill (airmail) was £5.10 (approx $9.00)
Note: these require a passport photo, and are only valid for 1 year...
What about International Certificate for Motor Vehicles - do we still need these...?
No doubt AA or RAC will sell us one.
