Hi,
you might like to check the historyc weather data on:

Depends where in Morocco you go.

We went early last October (4th) for 4 weeks. Not once did we feel uncomfortable or put sun cream on. didnt even get a tan! (but i am Welsh) We went as far south as Zagora/tata/assa then up to Sidi Ifni. Assa was the warmest around the end of October. Where it was pleasently warm :D

4x4 or bike? this may also make a difference. The cab of our defender stayed cool at all times.

we to looked at the chart and expected it to be warmer, but there does seem to be quite a bit of wind around the chill things off.

hope this helps a little.

Hi,
thanks Yves for the link, it's very useful !
Griffdowg, we ( my wife, son 6 years old and I ) plan to go around Morocco and to see as much as possible. We will start around 24th Aug. from Warsaw and drive slowly through Europe upto Gibraltar then take a ferry to Morocco and see what next. Regarding to the car, we have LR 90 300Tdi but modificated by my self a little bit ..... :) . After my last modifications LR went to south Libya and back to Poland without any problems on Nov. 2008.
I hope temperatures will be not too deadly in Sep. If you have any other informations which could be useful for as please advice.

We’re there in Sept. also and the furthest south we intend going is Zagora, around mid Sept.
I like this site: History : Weather Underground

Which gives you some history, I’m guessing it will be around the low to mid 30’s at Zagora, just nice:thumbup1:

Oh and guess what just stopped working on the the G Wagen? The ventilation fan which to replace is a dash out job and apparently takes a MB trained mechanic (if there is such a thing) 8hrs to do:eek3:. I have an alternate plan though:smartass:

Apart from July/August which are always VERY hot, the weather in Morocco is as unpredictable as elsewhere in the world.

Like Griffdowg I experienced cold weather in Oct 08 (just 6c in Midelt, down to 1c at altitude) but a year earlier in Oct 07 it was 43c near Foum Zgoud.

My best guess is that early September will have shade temperatures between 25c and 40c. Aim to drink at least 3 litres of water per day, preferably more. Make the best of the cooler early mornings.

Check out this link to prepare your vehicle import forms before you leave home.

Hi Tim,
Thanks for the informatio. Our idea to go to Morocco has only 48 hours :)) so we've just started getting all stuff and info together. I've heard there is no need for any special doc, just green card for Morocco and passport.

There's no need for visas for citizens of EU. Check the knowledgebase in my signature for other matters.

Hi,
Do you have any suggestion for me where to go to ? I'm especially interested in Atlas mountains region. Is it OK to camp in wild places there?

Piotr
