Tanks on the Plage Blanch piste in Morocco?

On the Plage Blanch piste in Morocco there are some old tanks on the cliff faces south of the old French Fort at Aorera.

Does anybody have any info about them? Where they French, Spanish or Moroccan etc etc

Pictures at the bottom of:

Many thanks,

They could be americans , as rumors have been saying that the americans are setting up a huge base in the area of Tan Tan !!!!!!!

One (on the right) looks very much like a SCOT - a former Warsaw Pact armoured personnel carier.

BTR60 or similar? Definitely old & ex-Warsaw Pact.

Roman's right, on the right an OT 64 SKOT and on the left an OT60 (I think).
Both made in the former Czeckoslovakia and supplied in some quantities to the Moroccan military.
Either there as a result of a clash with Polsario or simply broke down through lack of maintenance...

I keep on going back to web sites about the SKOT; if the upper armor plating were replaced with an insulated box bonded and sealed to the hull above the middle line, couldn't it make a super 8x8 amphibious camper?
The original 200hp Tatra engine could be replaced with something more economical...

One went on Ebay Germany a couple of weeks
ago for around 5000euros!

I too passed by the tanks about two weeks ago.

Found it very interesting what I read about them here.
