Swiss Woman kidnapped in Timbuktu 15 April 2012
 

Another kidnapping has taken place in Mali. A Swiss woman was kidnapped from Timbuktu on 15 April in the 15th episode of kidnapping by AQIM and their affiliates since 2003. This is the second such kidnapping in Timbuktu in the last 6 months.

Factions fighting for possession of Swiss Woman
 

There is a brief report out that a faction is fighting to get possession of the kidnapped Swiss woman in Mali- apparently because the group wishes to free her. Good news if true and if the faction is successful. But risky to her I'm sure.

AFP report that Ansar Dine now hold her Richard.....not sure if that's good or bad according to this quote?

"A second source in Timbuktu confirmed it was Ansar Dine who was now holding Stockly, adding: "They say they are prepared to free her. A separate informed source case said: "Ansar Dine rejected an offer for mediation by a humanitarian group, saying they prefer to speak directly to the Swiss."
