Southern Tunisia

Take a look at my site www.4x4-travel.co.uk
Let me know what that doesn't answer for you (direct) and I'll give you all the help that I can.
I've got tracks, waypoints, places to stop, things to see, people to meet and I'm also planning to go again at Christmas.
You should also find some useful links on the "links" page too.

More news:
The far south of Tunisia is a military zone, but until now it has always been possible to get written permission to enter the area from the authorities in Tataouine. It seems that this area has become a playground for dune-bashers who with little experience have been getting into trouble either by having accidents or wandering across the border into Algeria. He suspects the army have simply become fed up looking after daft tourists and have now withdrawn all permissions to enter the area even if they have previously sent their details in advance to Tataouine.

There is some talk that permission might be granted later in the year but only if a guide is used.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
