Shipping into/out of Nouackchott
 

Obviously Dakar is the favoured port in the region, but has anyone any experience of shipping vehicles in or out of Mauritania?

I shipped my motorbike from Nouackchott to the Canary Islands in 97. I went to a small shipping office in town and they arranged it all. (it went in an empty container)the I flew to the canary islands and a week later my bike was there.I then got the ferry with my bike to spain/algeciras

It seems a good idea to sent your vehicle to Canarias and then take a ferry to spain !
Just a problem , TIME : If you want to sent your vehicle , it's often because you have not enough of time to go back by road , and with this solution you need more than a week to go back at the south of Spain .
But it's interresting .
Do you think it's possible to do that with a 4x4 ?

I dont know, but the container was big enough.
