Seeking Information on Sudan/Ethiopia
 

Fellow travelers,

We are planning to travel to Ethiopia through Egypt and Sudan by motorbike. We are curious about the situation in Sudan. Is the route from Wadi Halfa to Khartoum and then to Qallabat (border town) a safe one concerning rebel activity? We would also like to know how the gasoline availability is in Sudan and Ethiopia. Has anyone taken recently the ferry from Aswan to Wadi Halfa through Lake Nasser?

Any other information would be greatly appreciated.
