What is the best way to drive down to Tindouf at the Maroc/Algeria border coming from the north ?
Is the border crossing at Figuig possible ? and all the way down via Bechar, or the track from Goulimime, the border at Zag, and than Tindouf ?
Any recent 'report' ?

This marathon is for the Sahrawi people, ie the Polisario.

Don't even think of trying to get to this event from Morocco.

terry is right, I'm pretty sure the only way to get to Tindouf, is from Alg, and Figuig is long closed to tourists. Assuming you want to avoid north Alg ports, the only way is across from Tunisia - El Oued - Ghardaia and stay south - El Meniaa - Timimoun, Benni Abbes, etc.
or maybe fly from algiers.
