Sahara January 2009
 

We are preping a 1990 Landcruiser for January 2009, route not planned so looking for advice!! or if anyone is already planning something and would consider letting us tag along? Totally open at this stage but would like to head Sahara direction?

Hi, we are leaving Portsmouth Jan 1st '09 for our RTW trip on a 1200 GS. Planning to jump off into Morocco around 3rd week of Jan. from Algeciras. No plan as such yet, just heading down the West Coast to arrive at Cape Town around April/May.

Hi Guys

I'm looking at crossing Algeria North to South in Jan or Feb 2009 with my 1993 Hilux Pickup. I'm Iran right now, and will make my way through South Asia and North Africa in the next 14 months. Obviously, a lot can happen in between, but if you're interested in in crossing Alg into Niger then we can keep in touch. Sharing the costs of the mandatory guide in Algeria would be good.

Thanks for all the replies but we have changed direction complety!!! Now heading for the Baltic, looking to drive across the sea has anyone got any sound advice, and if anyone is interested in joining us?? January 2009
