Route Oran-Tamanrasset
 

Hi, wich route you consider is the best to get from Oran to Tamanrasset? I have in mind two possibilities: 1. Direct south via Tlemcen, Bechar, Reggane, In Salah and Tamanrasset. or 2. Going East to Alger then south Ghardaia, In Salah and Tamanrasset.
Any info about road conditions? just to calculate time involving.
Any sugestions about this route would be appreciated.

Go via Tlemcen, Bechar.
It is slightly faster and safer.
I suppose that you will need to be accompained by a guide from arround Bechar or when entering Adrar Wilaya.

There is a description of the route (going north from Tam to El Oued) from a few years ago here:

But the driving was done without guide and without convoy then....
