PZJ 75 a good choice?

I am trying to find the right car with the idea to overland the Sahara and Sahel regions.
Ideally it would have been a BJ75 but these are difficult to find (can't get my hands on one). I have found a PZJ75, the 5cyl Diesel version. I can't find much info in the PZJ (they seem quite unusual) and I'm wondering:
- Is the engine as reliable as the BJs 4 & 6 Cyl?
- Is it as performant?
- But most importantly, will I have problems to repair engine problems, find parts in the "bush"?
- Am I right to assume that the rest of the car is based on the HJZ?

Thanx for your answers.

As far as I know the 3.5L PZ was built in South Africa and is reputedly not as good as the 4 or 6-cyls, don't know why - but as long as its not knackered how bad can a Toyota be?
It looks the same as the BJ and HZJ75.

Does it have the standard gearbox from a 75? - if so why not put a 4.2 diesel in???

Just a thought..............................

Cheers
