Anyone travelling down through Morocco and Mauritania at the

We will be leaving Casablanca between 21st and 23rd August, heading down to Senegal and Gambia through Mauritania. Is anyone else planning to drive the same way at the same time to perhaps drive the south Western Sahara/north Mauritania leg in convoy?

saw this article http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/3906431.stm about a locust plague in/heading to RIM.

How does something like this affect the local area/economy? Heading that way in November.

We very probably are in Marocco in the middle of august till the end, if we can hook up with others - will drive on the way to Western Sahara and/or Mauritania and back too (open schedule).

We are arriving in Morrocco around the 8th August and intend to spend a couple of weeks mooching around before heading south to Mauritania, so will probably be heading that way around the same time as you. Myself and my girlfriend will be riding 2 Transalps. Email me if you want to discuss meeting up etc.

I'll be travelling down through Morrocco in the first week or so of August - a bit early for you I think.

Look out for an old beige range rover!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
