Hello,
>if petrol is available in the area general speking yes, there is petrol in Sahara. For a more precise answer please tell were you like to go. I used a 109V8 and a Range Rover on sereral trips in Algeria and can tell you, that my V8 which uses about 15L/100km on tarmac overland will consume an average off about 22L/100km on an mix of light piste, sand dunes. I calculated always with 25l/100km even for difficult pistes and medium ergs + 10L +10% safety margin.
