Nouakchott to Mali
 

A slight word of warning, there are no petrol stations selling petrol, ie 'Essence' at this time on the Kiffa and Ayoun el Atrois road crossing into Mali at Kobenni after around Aleg... plenty of petrol stations, but they are just selling diesel, ie Gazoil. This is about 760ks to Nioro, Mali, where there is petrol in abundance, such deep joy!

Have just traveled this and you can get the petrol, but you really have to search it out in each town, ask around in work shops and garages and then barter over the price, but they know you need that fuel, so the bartering is very tough..! i ended up paying 20-25 euros for 10 litres several times, which is probably 3/4 times the pump value, which broke my heart, such is life... viva the market, supply and demand as always.
