I admit that I sometimes lose track of the plot, but not usually so quickly. Who is fundraising for what cause in which country illegally occupying what swath of land?

Actually, I had already done that. I found some not-outstanding writing by a gentleman with an unclear agenda. I did not notice obvious "fundraising," found no mention of any "noble cause," and I didn't even notice any particular references to events which happened in 1975. I did find another link, which led to a page devoted to "underwear for professionals," but I am imagining that's not what you meant.

To me, this suggests that your point is perhaps unclear. Whether you want to do anything about that is entirely your call.

If you've got a political point to make, make it, rather than just sniping from the sidelines. Are you saying that profits from this book are somehow being used to support the Moroccan position in Western Sahara? If so I must have missed that bit in the book's webpages (quite possible as I only spent a few mins looking through it). Perhaps you could point me in the right direction so I can see what you've seen, as on the face of it it just looks like a pretty coffee table book aimed at people who are never likely to go there.

I perceived the OP as a fairly innocent mention of a new, Sahara-related book. I do so myself here occasionally.
I was actually invited to it's launch a couple of weeks ago, but looking into it led me to share backofbeyond's assessment; it's possibly another Sahara, the Life of (scroll down).
So I don't plan to read it, but welcome a review on here or for my Sahara Books page.

It's unfortunate that the OP chose to link to a 3rd party (rather than say, the book's publisher or amazon or a meaningful review) who, as is the way these days, was crassly using the content to promote himself.
I think we can all see through that and, to paraphrase the BBC news website: "[we are] not responsible for the content of external Internet sites."

Unicef certainly is a fabulous organisation-
Could you state how much you raised and can you post documentary evidence on here of the funds having been handed over?
This would be an encouragement to others who may wish to combine their adventures with a humanitarian slant-
