Hello from Vienna !

We are planning a trip to Morocco for about 3 to 4 weeks with two motorbikes.

We found a lot of information on the hubb but there is one big question mark. What will that trip cost ?

I know it depends what sort of accomodation you choose but is there someone on the hubb who has done such a trip and can give us an information ?

Have a look at the knowledgebase in my signature. Your main costs are petrol (€1 per litre), hotels, food and the ferry from/to Spain.

Just came back from a 7-week trip to Morocco. The first 4 weeks on our way to Dakhla and back the costs except Gasoline were about 20 - 25 Euros a days per person. Gasoline is about 1 Euro, as Tim said, in the Westshara about 60 Cent.
We took the ferry from Genova to Tanger. This saved the long road through Spain.

Thanks ! We thought that

2000 Euros for 2 Persons for 3 weeks Morocco (we calculate 3 days from Vienna to Spain and 3 days back) should be enough . Is that reasonable ?

Hi
We ( 2 bikes ) spent two weeks in Morocco the cost was around 650€ for each one all inclusive:mchappy: ( car gas for traveling trough spain and park for the car and the trailer also ).
We didn't sleep in luxury hotels and often ate at noon sardines cans and "smiling cow" ( french brand cheese ).
You can see the trip here

If you travel in Morocco about 3000 km, your journey is at all with riding to Algerciras and back more than 8000 km. That´s more than 600 Euros for gasoline. If you go on motorways, you have to calculate also the costs for them. Than the ferry boat. Accomodation in France and Spain isn´t cheap.

If you search for really cheap hotels in morocco, your calculated 2000 Euros will be o.k.

20-25 euros

20-25 euros/days prs is not very expensive. That cost is "all inclusive" ? Visas, insurance, taxes, food&accommodation? Whit out fuel?

Hi
I have to precise, I live in south of France, until Algeciras it's 1400km, this means for 7l/100km 1€ for gasoil ( one year ago ) this means around 100€ go and 100€ return. Through Madrid Highways are free ( toll to pay through Barcelone ).
In Marocco we found cheap hotel, example in Midelt Hotel Atlas 17€ for two the night, shower, diner and closed park for the bikes, not luxury.

This is my guess:

Cost of linving (food and accomodation):

in the South: 10-20 EUR/day
in the North: 20-30 EUR/day

No luxury hotels. I have had a lot cheaper but also more expensive than the average. Cities are more expensive than the country (can be incredibly cheap: e.g. 5 EUR/day)

Fuel about 1 EUR/L so you can count yourself.

+ costs for entering and leaving + insurance etc...
