Morocco visa
hi!
I am planning to visit Morocco in few months time and as I am a Croatian citizen I asked about visa in Moroccan embassy in Budapest. They ask the following documentation: - you must fill in an application form for asking the visa - employment certificat - copy of reservation in a hotel in Morocco - copy of the airplane ticket - 2 photos - and you must pay 4.700 Forints (in Forint) I'll be having some problems here as I am a student and don't work, I won't be coming to Morocco by plane but by ferry from Algeciras and also I don't want to make a hotel reservations in Morocco as before Morocco I'll be in Spain and Portugal and it is possible that I'll extend my stay there. Is it easier to get Moroccan visa in embassy in Madrid or consulate in Sevilla as I'll be in each of those cities 2-3 days? Thanks in advance. Vedran |

Vedran, after having more to do with Moroccos officials than I ever wanted to (after an accident of a friend in the country) I'd recomend you to bring as much "official looking" documents together as you can, eg. a students ID instead of the employment certificat or a detailed route planing instead of reservations. Try to have at least one (again official looking) stamp on each document. Then go to an embassy and talk to the peopel. Moroccos officials are impossible fussy bureaucrats but usualy very friendly and helpfull once you sit next to them and are able to ask them for a solutions. If you're not able to speak to them they just follow their official path and do not bother about anything else. Show them in any way you want to spend a lot of money in the country (at least 500-1000€), ask for everything you're nor shure of and try to have your mind if you have to. But the problem is you can't never be shure, a lot is depending on the person treating your case...
Cheers, Kudi
