Morocco telephone code changes - 7/March/09 at 2am GMT

FYI> Morocco telephone number code changes will happen 7/March/09 at 2am GMT - with no parallel running of the old codes.
You will need to use the new codes when dialling within Morocco, and when dialling Morocco from another country.
Just in case the switchover doesn't work or is delayed for any reason, I would take your old numbers as well - if you can't get through, it may be worth trying both the old and new number.
I have this information on good authority, but cannot guarantee its accuracy !

- For Moroccan Mobile numbers, the digit “6 will be added to the old Mobile number:
Old Moroccan mobile phone number: +212 AB XX XX XX where A = {1, 4, 5, 6, 7} and B = {from 0 to 9}.
New Moroccan mobile phone number: +212 6 AB XX XX XX where A = {1, 4, 5, 6, 7} and B = {from 0 to 9}.

- For Moroccan fixed (and fixed with limited mobility phone numbers, the digit “5 will be added to the old fixed phone number:
Old Moroccan fixed (and fixed with limited mobility): +212 AB XX XX XX where A={2,3} and B={0 to 9}
New Moroccan fixed (and fixed with limited mobility): +212 5 AB XX XX XX where A={2,3} and B={0 to 9}

-
For Moroccan Non-geographic phone numbers: the digit “0 or “8 will be added to the old number:
Old:
+212 8X XX XX XX New:+212 80 X XX XX XX
Old:+212 9X XX XX XX New:+212 89 X XX XX XX
