Morocco Ferry booking

Hi
I am trying to book a ferry from Algeciras to Ceuta for a group of 4 vehicles and would like to know if anybody has booked before they went as I can not find a website to do this that works ?

Don't worry you don't need to book the ferry, there is at least one each hour ( maybe more ) when you arrive, you select the next ferry departure.
there are many company. You are not obliged to take the return.

Ferry to Morocco

Hi,
I have not taken this crossing for 18 years but I don't think anything has changed. Just turn up and go ! I plan to cross here next week and from what I hear it is best just to turn up.

There are many companies, I'm quite sure the website is not up to date. I repeat don't worry, you will see on the site. Before arriving to Algeciras on the edge of the road there some small stores which are selling ticket, it worth in summer, but not yet, go straight to the harbour. It's very easy.

Just turn up

I did the Algeciras - Cueta crossing in Nov and returned in Dec. No problem at all with turning up without having booked. On each occasion I got straight on and there was stacks of free space available (car deck not even half full).

You will see agents at the side of the road selling tickets at least 100 miles before you even get to Algeciras. I bought mine in Algeciras town (you save 10% if you get a return), and I jumped straight on the next ferry.

On the way back I just rocked up at the port with my ticket (nothing booked) and got straight on the boat, door went up and we were underway in less than 5 minutes.

Really, it's a slick operation! And there is a boat every hour or so.

Enjoy!

I agree with Majo Moto

Go to Algeciras and buy your tickets at the harbour ticket selling office. There is a huge building with lots of shops selling tickets. No hassle. You just buy tickets for the first posible crossing. We were on the boat leaving the harbour a half an hour after buying the ticket. So don't buy on the road to Algeciras.

cheapest option?

hello
does any one know which company cheap is? I mean a company between algeciras/tarifa and tanger.

Hi,

Its worth shopping about when you get there and seeing what offers people have. We were travelling in a VW Syncro (4x4 camper) last December and prices seem to vary from €199 - €450 for an open return.

Ferry Ticket said Euroferrys but we sailed over with the next AT ...

just to reinforce Eric,s post

I came across ' days ago. Drove stright down to the port (Algeceras), to the big building ticket office. it was 11.45 abd i bought a ticket for the 12.00.

Job done. one way was 56.20 euros for one man and his bike to Ceuta. I did have a problem at customs which i,ll post on the sahara forum.
