Just got word that Apparently the piste after the Moroccan border post is to be sealed by the Moroccan government until it reaches the Mauritanian road to Nouabidhou later this year. CTM is planning to run buses through from Dahkla to Nouachkott.Plenty of annoyed Mauritanian businesmen in Dhakla I reckon!!!

That's progress I suppose!

The Algerians are moving on quickly with TAM-In Guezzam as well (approx 200kms now surfaced) - although it'll be some time before the Nigerans do the Assamakka-Arlit stretch.
