Im a UK citizen and I needed one in 2000, the last time I was there. Mind you it was easy to get, we just bought them on the ferry from Algeciras to Tangier. No hassle.

EU members (UK included) do definitely NOT need a Visa for Morocco .That form you talk about is the "inmigration details" form (aka the "white paper" , with your details , address, etc.. ) .

however NON EU Members , etc.. need a Visa , to be obtained in the local Moroccan Embassy
(I wouldnt bet on getting it at the border ) , althought with certainty , you can get one from the Moroccan embassy at Madrid. (which should be in your way ) .

The case for people from Poland , (which would be EU member by this crishmas ) is a grey area . But -with most certainty , you NEED to arrange a Visa (i.e. a "standard" passport written Tourist visa) . Is not that expensive , and much better /cheaper than being nenied entry at the border .

Just one advice . If you decide not to get the Visa beforehand , cross via Ceuta /Findq ,as -in the case they dont' let you in - you are still in Europe (with operating phones , cashpoints ,helpful police ,places to stay , etc.. and with a bit of luck somewhere to get your Visa.

Alternatively , and you try to cross via Ferry ->Tanger , and you are DENIED the entry -you are not allowed to get out of the ship , and you are automatically returned to Spain .

Id' get the Visa ..

Have fun

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
