Don't forget that it tends not to be so humid in Maroc.. I was comfortable riding in 35C ish wearing a wicking tee-shirt under a Belstaff Adventurer ballistic nylon jacket. Admittedly I had the vents open, but recall sweating like a porker at 25C here in the UK ...

Well we.ve been here for a week now and after saying I was going mesh on the morning we left I changed my mind.

Textile jacket has been pretty good;hot in Merzouga at 40° but what would not be. The heat as mentioned has been dry so I am happy with my choice; my mate has a mesh jacket and has been fine too so I think in the end you just adapt and alter your system to the weather.

My hardest learned lessons so far:

1 Do not forget the Michelin map is 1:1000000
2 Riding muddy pistes in the hail at night is not much fun.... but it was an adventure!

Cheers all

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
